Pinot noir is an old Burgundy variety, common throughout the whole world. The name “Pinot” was derived from “pin” – pine – because the small bunches packed with berries were deemed to resemble conifer cones. The grapes from which this wine was made came from Central Slovakia vineyard area from the vineyard village of Bušince.
