This variety comes from the Bordeaux region where it’s been grown since the 16th century. It was likely created by crossing the Cabernet franc variety with white Sauvignon. It’s one of the best world-known and highest-quality blue Muscat varieties. The grapes from which this wine was made came from Central Slovakia vineyard area from the Čebovce vineyard village.
