A classic grapevariety that gives one of the finest wine. The origin of the variety is not clear. It is believed that it was created by spontaneous crossing of the Heunisch variety with the Gewürztraminer. It is considered the king of white wine grape varieties. It belongs to the late varieties, as the grapes reach technological maturity in the second half of October to early November. The grapes for making the wine come from the village of Nenince.
